The sun shone through her window that morning, bidding her to relinquish her hold on homework and other chores that she needed to accomplish today. Rosalie wasn't a bright girl and she knew it. She was pretty, that much she knew, but when it came to brains she had the short end of the stick. She really didn't like to hold up a conversation because her attention span was so small, and most of all she just hated being focused on for long periods of time because no matter how long or short of a time that the person focused on her... they always managed to come to the same conclusion in the end. That she was stupid. And while she didn't mean to be, she always managed to have that problem. Deep down, she was certain that the teachers thought the same thing and the only reason she hadn't been kicked out of the academy was because she was a vampire.
She was a healthy skin tone, and it was nice to see because usually this girl was usually a sickly color because she was spending her time locked away in her room ignoring the fact that she needed blood just to try and make up for her terrible grades. Rosalie had noticed multiple times how her parents had become frustrated with her because of her grades. She hated how her parents often accused her of not doing her best but to be truthful she had been doing her best and found a tutor. And yet she never seemed to be good enough. That was why she was giving up on the homework today. So instead she was walking down the stairs of the academy wearing a short sun dress. Her long hair was tied back loosely in a braid that hung down to the middle of her back and her big brown eyes.
As she walked out the front door, her long legs ended with black flats that looked absolutely adorable with the rest of her outfit. She was a beautiful girl, but she didn't have a single thought going on in her head. So she half skipped down the pavement to the fountain. She sat on the rim of it and pulled her leg up so it was bent and the other leg was swinging off the edge of the fountain. The water poured down in beautiful little spurts as it fell down into the water and she looked down at the ripples. Her head was empty, even though she had things she could be thinking about, like the math homework she needed to be working on or the book that she should have been reading. But as she was sitting out by the fountain, the girl could only seem to think of one thing, how angry she was at herself for being as stupid as she was. Why can't I think? Am I really so stupid that I can't think? She didn't sound stupid, and her voice was actually very sweet and beautiful. The only real thing she had ever been able to remember were songs that she had heard, and she was still amazed that she could remember them at all.
