PERSONALITY:
cricket is a bright, quirky girl who cannot see the dark side of life no matter how hard anyone tries. slightly strange for an angel, it is hard to burst her confident bubble, one she's spent fifteen years perfecting and brightening. she smiles and obsesses over everyone's happiness to a point where she's become completely unaware of the possibility of anyone ever being truly unhappy. she thinks it's terribly crazy for anyone not to be happy and her drug of choice is laughter, though her constant chipper attitude is probably some sort of mental disorder.
while confident in herself, cricket is not at all assertive and isn't that good at speaking up for herself. she's very determined, but pretty much lets other people do what they like as long as it's not obviously making them unhappy. she's incredibly unrealistic in her dreams and aspirations, but loves talking about them, loves talking period. she's intent on getting every single person around her involved romantically with someone else, and is always trying to pair friends and other friends, despite not being all that interested in romance for herself.
she also absolutely loves blogging and runs a gossip blog about the academy. she’s very much on the side of the society, but doesn’t let it show through unless she’s with people who are very into the society. she loves the rules, but also loves watching scandal go down just outside of the rules, and is constantly looking for the next juicy bit of gossip.

HISTORY:
cricket was never particularly close with her family, even for a set of guardian angels, they’re all pretty doom and gloom. she’s grown up despising her brother who is six years her senior due to him suffering what cricket is sure is mental illness to make him so dark all the time. he was so much better before he fell to darkness, though. he was the only one of her family she really liked. until all that drama happened with his girlfriend or whatever she was. then he got depressing and cricket stopped talking to him.
nothing too eventful happened to cricket. she had few friends and a rough time through middle school, spent it mostly unhappily and lonely, but wore her smile all the same. no one died who was particularly important to her, save, perhaps, a great uncle with whom she used to play scrabble, and he was old and she was young when he died.
the first year of high school has gone uneventfully, with friends coming and going and cricket’s self worth growing steadily greater. she made a few best friends, made them get together, moved on, left a trail of happy couples in her wake. and it goes on.
